WITH over 300 islands, Fiji offers many beautiful holiday destinations in the South Pacific from which to choose. The main islands and island groups are shown in this map of Fiji. The main island is Viti Levu - meaning 'big Fiji' - and here is found the 5-star Denarau Island, Nadi, Coral Coast, Pacific Harbour and Sunshine Coast. The second and third largest islands are found to the north-east, being Vanua Levu and the very popular Taveuni. Both are lush adventure playgrounds, favoured by honeymooners, wedding couples and adventure travellers.

The next largest islands are found in the south, being Kadavu and Beqa. Like Taveuni, these are popular for scuba diving vacations in Fiji. The central region offers a number of private island resorts, including the exclusive Wakaya Club. The Mamanuca and Yasawa groups located off the north-west of the main island at Nadi are two island chains of great beauty, with dry climate and many beach resorts. The Yasawas has many budget destinations especially. Yasawa and Mamanuca mid-range to luxury resorts are popular for honeymoon vacations and weddings.
